Goodbye Desiree Rogers, hello Eric Holder. We never knew the attorney general was a fashion icon, but he made it into the very thick pages of Vogue’s September issue, complete with a black-and-white Department of Justice photo spread.
The profile, however, is a somber one. The article discusses Holder’s daily routine, including the fact that he receives the President’s Daily Threat Report, “a locked bag that tells him how many people out there in the world are trying to kill him.” It also looks at his ascent to attorney general.

One of the lighter anecdotes comes when Holder meets his future wife Sharon Malone at a D.C. fundraiser. Holder was immediately smitten. Malone, not so much. “When Holder asked when he could see her again, she suggested a month later,” the article reveals.
