NBC News’ Chris Jansing said this week she has been “struck” by the diversity of the crowds that show up to support 2016 presidential candidate Ben Carson.
Jansing is the network’s official Carson correspondent.
“People like his consistency,” she said Tuesday morning during an appearance on MSNBC, referring to the retired neurosurgeon’s supporters. “Talking to people in line. They love the idea that they think he’s somebody who is going to go to Washington and stick to his guns, that what you hear him saying now is what he’s going to do if he is elected president.”
“And a really diverse crowd here is the other thing that struck me … in terms of age, in terms of race, in terms of professional – a lot of doctors and nurses who were inspired by his book Healing Hands.”
Jansing was presumably referring to Carson’s book Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story.
