WATCH: Heckler booted from Rubio event

A heckler was removed from a Marco Rubio campaign event Tuesday in New York City after asking a series of bizarre questions and accused Rubio of cheating on his wife.

During a question-and-answer session at an event on the sharing economy at Civic Hall, an audience member began asking the Florida senator odd questions about wire fraud and other non-issues in the 2016 race.

“How do you plan to deal with fraud? The answer is you can’t. You cheated on your wife in Florida,” the audience member said reading from a piece of paper as Rubio looked around the room puzzled.

“You should drop out of the race,” he said, adding that Rubio’s polling numbers are too low to win the nomination before being removed from the event.

“That’s actually kind of weird,” Rubio said as the man was led away. “Anyway…”

Rubio currently sits in fourth behind only Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina, according to the latest RealClearPolitics national average.

The Examiner has reached out to the Rubio campaign for comment.
