After it was announced that President Obama would be make a trip to Ireland, everyone began preparations.
Once discovered that the president’s maternal great-great-great-grandfather, Falmouth Kearney, was from Ireland, many in the country have claimed him as one of them. Obama Foodorama reports that everything from Obama Bread to Barack’s Brack, an Irish fruit bread, have been whipped up in anticipation.

In addition to culinary goodies, there has been an influx of security and media attention that will accompany the president’s first international trip since Osama bin Laden was killed. The president visits Ireland on Monday and he makes an official state visit to Queen Elizabeth II in London from Tuesday to Thursday. The POTUS and FLOTUS will stay at Buckingham Palace.
