Glenn Beck to join Ted Cruz in Iowa at super PAC-hosted events

Popular conservative commentator Glenn Beck will join Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on the presidential campaign trail for two events in Iowa sponsored by a pro-Cruz super PAC. Keep the Promise, a grouping of Cruz super political action committees, confirmed the news to the Washington Examiner.

The news comes soon after Beck took to Facebook to criticize former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s decision to endorse Donald Trump.

“When Sarah and the Tea Party won a hard fought election and were under attack in 2010, DJT [Donald J. Trump] was giving money to Pelosi, Reid and Rahm,” Beck wrote. “I couldn’t disagree with her [Palin] more but she has played the game now for years. Perhaps she knows more than those of us still on the outside. Maybe the press was right about her but for all of the wrong reasons.”

Beck has previously described Cruz as “my guy” and took issue with an ad from Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign that included favorable comments from Beck.

Cruz and Beck will appear at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Ankeny, Iowa, and at 7 p.m. in Waterloo on the same day.
