It wasn’t the state dinner, but was still a nice one that President Obama enjoyed on Monday at 1789 Restaurant in Georgetown. A Yeas & Nays spy tells us the president arrived with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany around 7:20 p.m.
The pair ordered the summer and beet salads as starters and selected the beef tenderloin for their entree.
Meanwhile, “The New World’s” Q’orianka Kilcher and her mother, Saskia, were seen at Trio in Dupont Circle on Monday, according to a Yeas & Nays spy.
Q’orianka, the 21-year-old actress who played Pocahontas in the film, and her mom were arrested last year after chaining themselves to the White House fence to protest a visit by Peruvian President Alan Garcia. Kilcher’s father is a Peruvian Indian. Charges of unlawful entry and destroying property have been dropped following their completion of community service.
