Powell a ‘Pussycat’ fan
E! talk show host Chelsea Handler isn’t a regular here in Washington, but when she comes, she makes an impression.
Handler, author of “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea,” was at this year’s White House Correspondents Dinner and, according to an interview in the latest Playboy magazine, she wasn’t too impressed.
“It was pretty boring,” says Handler, before recounting her experience in greater detail. “A few weeks before, I went to a cocktail party and Colin Powell was there, because those are the kinds of circles I run in. At some point, the Pussycat Dolls were performing and I noticed Powell, who was sitting at a table right next to me, was taking a picture of them with his iPhone. So I took a picture of Colin Powell taking a picture of the Pussycat Dolls. Because of that I will probably never be invited back.”
Too bad Tom Brokaw didn’t ask Powell about his paparazzi skills during the former Secretary of State’s recent appearance on “Meet the Press.”
