Just hours after Hillary Clinton drew a line in the sand about not watching the Republican debate Thursday night on principle, we found out what she was doing instead — fundraising.
Clinton spent Thursday morning on her high horse with Al Sharpton on his radio show talking about voting rights and criminal justice.
Thursday marked the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, and she told Sharpton that agreed with himthat Americans’ voting rights are “under attack.”
This was the reason she gave for skipping on viewing the GOP debate and seeing what she might be up against at this time next year.
“I don’t think I need to watch it. Nearly everybody standing on that stage… has either actively sought to limit the right to vote in their state or supported the efforts to limit the right to vote,” she said.
But a selfie revealed that her real reasoning was not nearly so noble.
Clinton was at a sold-out Hollywood fundraiser for her campaign. Variety reported, where celebrities had shelled out a minimum of $2,700 a person.
Attendees included Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Kris Jenner, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and Usher.

Luckily, considering the Obama-loving Kardashian shelled out at least a couple thousand for Clinton, the candidate acquiesced to her request.
I got my selfie!!! I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident pic.twitter.com/zGpdcGSZBD
