Poll shows 61 percent of Americans back Chick-fil-A

A new Rasmussen poll has found that 61 percent of Americans hold a favorable view of Chick Fil-A despite efforts by gay activists and their supporters in the Democratic Party to demonize the fast-food chain in the wake of CEO Dan Cathy’s comments to The Baptist Press saying that he and his company support the traditional definition of marriage.

The poll reinforces the sentiment Americans showed a week ago when they stood in long lines to show their support on Chick Fil-A Appreciation Day.

It also found that 77 percent of respondents said they would not participate in any sort of a boycott of Chick Fil-A compared with mere 13 percent who said they would consider doing so.
