Vice President Joe Biden was looking for a little love at the National Governors Association summer meeting last week.
Biden was a guest speaker at the National Governors Association meeting in Nashville where he spoke on bipartisanship and the need for the nation’s governors to lead past the gridlock in Washington.
He was in the middle of proving his point with examples, when the vice president looked over at a table of governors that included North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory and noticed he wasn’t smiling.
“You haven’t smiled the whole damn time, man. I’m a little worried,” Biden said as he walked over to McCrory. The two then shared an awkward embrace.
Biden also called out Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer as the only other attendee who didn’t smile at him.
“I’m getting worried, man,” Biden said. “You’re sitting there just looking at me like, ‘What the hell is this guy doing?’”
