Single people who love politics know that it can get complicated when the subject comes up on a date. A new study by online dating site Zoosk analyzed what might help or hurt your chances when mixing love and politics.
Zoosk surveyed 4,000 single Republicans and Democrats about the impact of politics on their love life, and the results were pretty stunning.

A whopping 77 percent of respondents said they would have a lengthy debate about politics if their date brought up Republican frontrunner Donald Trump. However, 17 percent said they would run the opposite direction if their date brought up the billionaire, and that was twice as true for women as it was for men.
However, the study concluded that women care more about politics than men do. One in five women said it was “important” for a partner to reveal their political party affiliation on their dating profile or during initial conversations.
According to the study, younger men are more likely to change their political beliefs for a relationship. An estimated 20 percent of men between the ages of 18 and 24 admit to changing their political beliefs depending on the person they’re dating.
Different political opinions may divide the country, but they won’t stop a relationship. 75 percent of people admit to dating across party lines, which was especially true among younger people ages 18-24.
