Progressive MSNBC host Ed Schultz often complains about the fact that Republicans don’t want to appear on his show. Well, one firebrand Republican has agreed to take up his offer – potentially leading to one of the wackiest and most-exciting cable news segments of 2014.
It all started when Schultz made the comment that “Republicans, they’re afraid of me. They don’t want to talk to me” on his show Wednesday night.
Ann Coulter, who must have been watching his show, immediately tweeted back that she would be delighted to spar with him if he so chooses. And, in typical Coulter fashion, the prolific author and pundit signed off with some creative name-calling.
Invite me on your show, you lying pussy. RT @Matthops82 “Republicans are afraid of me. They don’t want to talk to me.” – @edshow

She later clarified her original tweet via email to Newsbusters:
I’ve been begging to come on their shows for years now, but they’re all apparently too afraid of a 99 lb girl. (Or any conservative who can put 2 sentences together — Hey! Somebody get Todd Harris on the line!)
Moreover, I don’t care that they’re all a bunch of pussies at MSNBC, but cut the B.S. posturing when you won’t allow any non-retarded conservative on your airwaves.
Should Schultz agree to have Coulter on his show, he wouldn’t be the only liberal willing to debate him publicly. Actress and liberal activist Roseanne Barr later tweeted that she would love to spar with Coulter as well, insinuating that the latter is “afraid” to debate her.
@AnnCoulter @Matthops82 @edshow ur afraid to debate me too, Ann.

Coulter, who is now a Fox News contributor, worked for MSNBC in the 1990s but was fired from the network.
