Facebook Cleans Up Spammy News Feeds

PC MAG — Your Facebook News Feed is getting a dash of spring cleaning as the company aims to rid the social network of spammy content.

The social network on Thursday revealed a series of improvements aimed at reducing frequently complained-about posts—many of which are published by Pages deliberately trying to find more distribution.

This update targets three broad categories of unsolicited behavior, including “like-baiting,” frequently circulated content, and spammy links.
