“Today, the world lost a beloved global figure with the passing of Queen Elizabeth II,” the stadium’s public address announcer told the crowd, before asking the spectators in attendance to join in a moment of silence in honor of the queen, “whose message of unity and peace inspired people throughout the world for generations.”

Video recorded from inside the stadium, however, appeared to show that the tribute did not quite go off as expected, with seemingly thousands of people chattering throughout the moment of silence, and a few booing.

On the TV broadcast of the game, the stadium announcer could also be heard trying to pump up the crowd seconds after the end of the tribute.

Several sports teams in the United States and the United Kingdom honored the queen on the day of her death, including MLB’s Philadelphia Phillies and the English Premier League’s Arsenal, Manchester United, and West Ham United clubs.
