Clippers University gets big NBA win

It’s really too bad the Los Angeles Clippers don’t play in Division I. Based on age alone, they certainly look like they belong there, and they’d be one heck of a Final Four contender. Four times this season, the Clippers (2-13) have trotted out a starting lineup with an average age barely six months older than the starting five at Duke, which actually boasts more 22-year-olds (Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith).

The uber-youngsters — Al-Farouq Aminu (age 20), Eric Bledsoe (20), Eric Gordon (21), Blake Griffin (21) and DeAndre Jordan (22) — finally got their first win in four tries on Monday, sending the New Orleans Hornets to just their second defeat of the year.

But victories are going to be a rarity this season for the Clippers, even (or especially) when Baron Davis and Chris Kaman are healthy again. It would be more fun to watch them cut down the nets, not the Blue Devils, in Houston in April.
