NBA Playoff Ratings Strong…

TNT and the NBA have seen steady ratings with some very good numbers. You have to think that the powers that be at the NBA office would love to see LaBron James stay around as long as possible.

Tonight is the annual ping pong ball fpr the draft and it will attract some attention tonight. The Wiz are not going to get a ping pong ball but should be fun anyway.

For the third consecutive week and with continued strong performances from the NBA Playoffs, TNT swept key adult demos in prime time, ranking as ad-supported cable’s #1 network among adults 18-34 (671,000); adults 18-49 (1,358,000); and adults 25-54 (1,268,000).  TNT also ranked #1 in total day for the week among adults 18-49 (694,000) and adults 25-54 (662,000).

 

·         TNT’s Wednesday, May 16, coverage of the Spurs/Suns playoff game delivered nearly 5 million viewers and ranked as the week’s top program among adults 18-34 (1,508,000); adults 18-49 (2,839,000); adults 25-54 (2,595,000); persons 2+ (4,967,000); and households (3,739,000).

 

·         The Monday, May 14, match-up between the Suns and the Spurs and the Tuesday, May 15, face-off between the Warriors and the Jazz both ranked among the week’s Top 10 programs among adults 18-49, adults 25-54, persons 2+ and households.

 

·         Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs on TNT averaged more than 3.6 million viewers.  The 13 games delivered 1,011,000 adults 18-34; 1,951,000 adults 18-49; 1,771,000 adults 25-54; 3,632,000 persons 2+; and 2,765,000 households.
