Magruder girls basketball coach Tim Hobbs will not return next season. He has been terminated in “an administrative decision,” said Hobbs, who coached just one season, going 11-13.

“I’m very disappointed,” said Hobbs. “It wasn’t the athletic director who made the decision. It was the administration. They told me they didn’t want me back.”

Hobbs took over for Pam Dean, who had led the Colonels to four winning seasons in the previous five years. Hobbs inherited a squad that went 11-12 in 2003-04 and returned three starters this season.
