The newest spot to see and be seen downtown is apparently … the tennis stadium? It sure seemed so as the Washington Kastles opened their home schedule on Tuesday night.
Among those we spotted in the sold-out crowd were Mayor Adrian Fenty, former Mayor Tony Williams, Sidney and Jane Harman, former Sen. John Breaux and Councilman Jack Evans. Even in a temporary stadium such as this one, however, not all ticket holders are created equal. Seated at the VIP tables along the south baseline (with waiter service!) were AOL founder Jim Kimsey, entrepreneur and former AOL Chief Executive Officer Steve Case and Wizards All-Star Caron Butler (pictured).
