Redskins-Rams report card

Impact player

Quarterback Sam Bradford completed 26 of 35 passes for three touchdowns and an interception. He started off with a lot of short, quick passes, then grew comfortable in the pocket as the pressure was not there.

Under the radar

Robert Griffin III does nothing under the radar, but he had another solid day. However, he also forced more passes than he did a week ago. He finished with 288 total yards but had one interception.

Did you notice …

Wide receiver Danny Amendola kept making the Redskins pay for playing a zone and not applying pressure? Amendola finished with 160 yards on 15 catches. When the Rams had little else going on, Amendola kept them in the game.

From the sidelines

Jeff Fisher did not stop Griffin, but he slowed him down enough to give his team a chance to come back. But this really was about his offense consistently beating down the Redskins’ defense. And about having a tough-minded team. The Redskins held a 21-6 lead, and the Rams never quit.

Jim Haslett’s defense didn’t get the job done. The Redskins tried zone but couldn’t get enough pressure to make Bradford uncomfortable. And special teams coach Danny Smith’s unit allowed its second punt block in two games.
