Final score: Chiefs 14, Redskins 6
1st Qtr | 2nd Qtr | 3rd Qtr | 4th Qtr
» The Redskins are doing a good job using speed up front on the defensive line to cause problems. They’re stunting with Orakpo and Haynesworth. They lined up Orakpo as a DT on one snap, stunting wide.
» The Redskins still can’t get anything done with Collins at quarterback. There’s just not much available. The receivers still can’t get open, which will be a problem for any quarterback.
» Heyer is starting to play like Heyer.
» Chris Wilson continues to get a decent amount of playing time at strongside linebacker. Both he and Orakpo have been active today.
» Nice job by the Chiefs downing the punt at the 2-yard line. But I wonder if the Chiefs would have attempted a field goal had Matt Cassel not been flagged for an illegal forward pass. However, this is almost as good.
» It almost looked as if Todd Collins spiked that pass, seeing a horde of Chiefs players in the vicinity where he was going to throw.
» Pakulak is hurting the Redskins. But this is why he hasn’t been in the league. He’s very inconsistent. Not that he was at fault on the block, but his kicks haven’t been very good.
» The Chiefs could have run off more time before their field goal with 3:36 remaining, had they opted not to throw on the first two downs. But guess they’re trying to be aggressive and get touchdowns.
» Talk about a wasted message on the big screen: Quiet! Offense at Work. Seriously? Is there any noise in here?
» And, once more Pakulak’s punt hurts Washington. Low liner.
» When the Redskins get their backs in space on passes, they scare nobody. Nobody.
» And that pass play to Bowe should wrap it up. When the Redskins needed one more stop, they couldn’t provide it. But can’t blame a defense that allowed just three field goals.
» DeAngelo Hall played that bootleg pretty well, after missing the tackle last week.
» Stephon Heyer had a bad fourth quarter; got whipped inside by Tamba Hali for a safety.
» This is as quiet a stadium as I can remember. The fans seem too deflated to even boo. Can’t blame them.
» DT Albert Haynesworth sprinted to the locker room with 24.1 seconds left. Way to stick around for your teammates.
» The countdown on Zorn’s job has begun. Over-under on time left on the job? One game.
