is founder of YouthAIDS and Five & Alive, two initiatives that aim to reach millions of children in developing countries. She’s recruited such celebrities as Ashley Judd and Bono to her cause. This year, YouthAIDS is focusing on music — an effort that will culminate in Annie Lennox and Bob Geldof being honored at its annual gala on Oct. 3 in Tysons Corner.


Q: What CD are you listening to now?

I rotate between “The Best of Eric Clapton” and Annie Lennox’s “Songs of Mass Destruction.”

Q: What was the last movie you saw?

I just watched again, “Hotel Rwanda” to prepare myself for a humanitarian trip to Rwanda and the Congo. We are going with our Global Ambassador Ashley Judd.

Q: What Web sites do you visit in the morning?

Yahoo.com, D.C. Examiner’s Yeas and Nays column, Washingtonpost.com and Facebook.

Q: What book are you reading?

“True North” by Bill George. I have just returned back from studying at Harvard with a stack of books from all the professors on leadership.

Q: What’s your favorite TV show?

I love CNN for news, but my guilty pleasure has to be “American Idol” or “Dancing with the Stars”!
