If you’re starving for yet another high-ranking Bush administration official to be hauled before Congress, you might just get your wish.
When asked Monday whether a subpoena is in Condoleezza Rice’s future, Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, sported a boyish grin and replied, “Maybe … maybe not.”

Speaking at the National Press Club, Waxman defined his role as “not letting any hanky-panky” take place in Washington. (Good luck with that, congressman.)
His main concern is that the Bush administration has not been questioned enough compared with the Clinton administration, which he said was barraged with many false accusations.
For example, he said that the faulty information that accused Democratic fundraiser John Huang of selling secrets to China was actually traced back to gossip at a cocktail party.
