The NBA wasn’t exactly thrilled that it didn’t get one hundred percent participation at last week’s NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. A number of guys — mostly those concerned that their stock might take a hit — only got measured and did interviews but didn’t play. It’s also important to keep in mind that one workout and some measurements won’t ultimately decided a players fate come June 25. But here are five guys that have come out with some buzz, be it good or bad.
Jonny Flynn, Syracuse

Everybody loves the Orange’s 6-foot floor general, particularly his leadership abilities. To lead a team in the big, bad world of Big East basketball says plenty, and it could make up for his lack of size. He’s still stuck around the bottom of the top 10, but it would be surprising to see him fall any further.
Stephen Curry, Davidson
Questions remain about whether or not his smallish frame will prevent him from playing point guard and handling full court pressure. But there’s no question he can shoot and distribute.
“It’s surprising when Stephen Curry hits the rim,” said one league source. “That kid did nothing in my mind to get himself below eight.”
At pick No. 8, of course, sit the New York Knicks.
Jrue Holiday and
Darren Collison, UCLA
This item may be two people, but scouts are high on both Bruins guards. Holiday, the complete package of size and ability, has moved into lottery territory, while Collison’s potential as an NBA backup point guard makes him a solid late first-rounder.
Jordan Hill, Arizona
The imposing power forward also stood on the sidelines in Chicago. But after starting the post-lottery rumor season Hill, listed by many to be the Wizards’ first choice at No. 5, has garnered interest from other teams.
James Harden,
Arizona State
Despite his ability as a natural scorer, concerns abound that Harden often needs to be convinced to raise his energy. He’s a high lottery pick now. It’s difficult to know if that will last.
