Author Salman Rushdie made the list (we bet he’s at a different table from his ex-wife, “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi). Not so “Law & Order” alumna Angie Harmon and her hubby, former New York Giant Jason Sehorn. And speaking of hubbies, Jennifer Garner isn’t letting husband Ben Affleck have all the fun. She’ll be on scene, too.
Also from Hollywood: Sam Waterston, Kerry Washington, Claire Daines, Amber Tamblyn and Olivia Wilde (she of the make-out scene with Mischa Barton on “The O.C.”)
John Cusack is also on the list, though we should point out that he was one of the no-shows at last year’s dinner, so who’s to say?

On the Obama front, plenty of his brains will be in attendance, namely David Axelrod, David Plouffe and Austan Goolsbee. The Examiner will host McCain strategist Steve Schmidt and speechwriter Matthew Scully.
Notable pols from the past: Henry Kissinger, Jesse Jackson, Donna Shalala, Brent Scowcroft and Zbigniew Brzezinski. Also watch out for Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Strug and documentarian Ken Burns.
