The stud players from the best teams in the country top The Washington Examiner‘s Heisman Watch entering Week 10 of the college football season. Can they hang on down the stretch?

1. Cam Newton » The junior quarterback continues to do everything for BCS No. 2 Auburn. Newton threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns and caught a 20-yard scoring pass in a 51-31 win over Ole Miss on Saturday.

2. LaMichael James » The fleet-footed sophomore ran hog wild Saturday night in Oregon’s 53-32 win over USC, racing for 239 yards and three touchdowns. It was the third 200-yard rushing game of the season for James, who is averaging 7.1 yards a carry.

3. Kellen Moore » Old reliable had another ho-hum performance in Boise State’s 49-20 win over Louisiana Tech, throwing for 298 yards and two touchdowns and catching a 7-yard scoring pass. Moore has thrown at least two touchdown passes in every game this season.

4. Denard Robinson » Shoelace’s stock is plummeting, though that has more to do with Michigan than his individual performance. The sophomore quarterback ran for 191 yards and three touchdowns and threw for 190 and another score in a 41-31 loss at Penn State.

5. Andrew Luck » The Stanford junior turned in another methodical performance in Saturday’s 41-0 rout of Washington, completing 19 of 26 passes and opening the game with a 51-yard touchdown run.
