If you were one of the lucky people in attendance at Thursday night’s “Sons of Italy” event at the National Building Museum, you were treated to an impressive set by legendary crooner Tony Bennett.
Bennett was there to pay tribute to Frank Sinatra, who died 10 years ago. Bennett recalled one of his first Sinatra concerts. “I was swooning like all the girls,”Bennett said. “He was singing so beautifully.” The two later became best friends and Bennett founded the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Brooklyn following Ol’ Blue Eyes’ death.’
