That was former Sen. John Breaux on M Street Wednesday night, crammed into a canary-yellow Chrysler Crossfire. The 64-year-old Louisiana Democrat, who stands well more than 6 feet tall, looked as if his head was brushing the convertible top as he sat in traffic from downtown to Georgetown.
Breaux just formed a new lobbying shop with former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, R-Miss., called the Breaux-Lott Leadership Group, so we thought that the two-seat, convertible coupe might have been a recent midlife crisis present to himself. Or perhaps a way to celebrate his recent birthday?
