Radical education: Public schooling gone rogue

One of the nation’s most successful governors, Ron DeSantis of Florida, won his seat in 2018 with the unlikely support of black female voters. He received 18% of their vote. Their attraction to DeSantis was based in large part on his belief in school choice.

It is a position other Republican candidates for office in 2022 would be wise to follow given parents increasing dissatisfaction with public education’s handling of COVID-19 and the imposition of trendy curricula, such as critical race theory, that appear to be taking root in school districts across America.
