…The Redskins have a chance Sunday because of how banged up the Eagles are defensively. MLB Jeremiah Trotter is questionable with a knee injury. If he can play, the Redskins need to get him matched up against the backs or tight ends. His coverage skills, lacking a few years ago, are worse. And now he’s dealing with a bad knee. If he can’t play, Joe Mays will take over and he, too, is better vs. the run than the pass.
…Will Witherspoon — playing his third game vs. Washington this season (traded to the Eagles from St. Louis) — will move to the weakside for this game. Weakside starter Akeem Jordan has been ruled out and this is a decent loss for the Eagles because he plays the run well.
…Corner Sheldon Brown will play, but has a sore hamstring that limited him a little bit vs. Chicago. He has started 134 straight games, but he is hurt and if the Redskins can give Jason Campbell time, they must test Brown.
