North Carroll softball coach Lloyd Ford is closing in on his 100th win with the program.

The Hampstead resident opened the season with 93 career wins, and since then his program has gone 4-2, putting him three wins away from the century mark.

Ford is in his seventh season as the varsity coach at North Carroll. He was hesitant to call his program a dynasty, because every spring he begins with a new team.

“It?s an indication that you?re having success,” Ford said of the impending achievement. “But the success is really the kids that have come through, that have contributed to it.”

The Panthers visit Linganore Monday at 4 p.m. before traveling to battle Urbana at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
