Hoyas channel surfing for truTV

Preparing for two different potential opponents at once hasn’t been easy for Georgetown, which will face the winner of the USC/VCU at-large first-round NCAA tournament game on Friday in Chicago.

“We split our staff,” Hoyas coach John Thompson III said. “Half are preparing for VCU, half are preparing for USC. I’m preparing for both.”

But the bigger problem might be figuring out a way to get his team together to scout the Trojans and Rams as they play each other on Wednesday night.

“At this point, and I don’t know, my staff was working on it. We’re trying to find out where we can see truTV,” Thompson said. “We have to find a venue to watch, and wherever that venue is may dictate the mood.”

He has a point. Is that network carried on hotel cable? Only the impeccable NCAA could find a way to make something bigger than it needed to be and at the same time make it harder than ever to find.

Hopefully, JTIII isn’t expecting HD.
